This super delicious chocolate cake is easy to make and can be enjoyed hot or cold. A great starting point for desserts for your budding little chefs. Ingredients
Method Add your coca into a small bowl and the add the boiling water mixing well. Microwave on your highest setting for just 30 seconds and stir well once again. Put the flour and sugar in a bowl and add your mixture with milk, oil and egg. Give this all a really good mix. Pour this batter into an 8” inch wide microwave dish and microwave it on high for a full 5mins. After this time it should be cooked but if it doesn't look firm enough microwave for another minute. Let the whole thing cool in the dish then top with fresh fruit and cream. 2. Chicken Wraps This only takes 10 minutes and it's a healthy, nutritious snack your children will enjoy. Method Make sure your kitchen has been cleaned properly before handling and using the chicken. Fry off the chicken in a pan with a very small amount of olive oil. While the chicken cooking grate some cheese and carrot. Any cheese is fine to use, just pick your favourite. Add the tortillas to the microw for 20 seconds. Now give the tortillas to the kids and let them add their own ingredients before rolling it all up. 3.Lemon Biscuits Lemon biscuits are different, quick and easy. Method Firstly you will need to preheat your oven to 170’c and grease up two baking trays. Mix the butter, cream, sugar and lemon rind until it is light and fluffy. Add egg and lemon slowly while beating the mixture. To create the dough add sieved flour and baking powder. Roll out the doughy mixture and cut into cookie shapes. Place onto the baking tray until you have lovely golden brown biscuits. Kids will love handing these out to friends and family knowing they have baked them themselves. 4.Macaroni Cheese Ingredients
A kid friendly classic! Kids love cheese and this is also a mega cheap meal to create. Method Cook your pasta according to the instructions on the pasta packet (usually about 12 mins to boil) and drain once ready. Next up, heat the butter and add a generous tablespoon of flour and mix. Black pepper, mustard and nutmeg should then be added to the pan. This process should only take 30-60 seconds. Add the milk in small parts, slowly and mix with a whisk. When you have brought this mix to the boil and it starts to thicken add a great big handful of cheese to create your sauce. Add the drained pasta to the sauce and hey presto! You've got mac ‘n’ cheese. 5. Rice Krispie Cakes Ingredients
This recipe is great for kids because the ingredients are fun and it's so easy to make. Method Add syrup and butter into a pan and bring to the boil for 1 minute. Remove from the heat and add the Rice Krispies. Mix together and pour into a 7” greased tin. Mark them up into squares or rectangles and place in the fridge to set.
